Rain and Window

Street photographs made through glass, water, darkness, and the soft failure of clarity.

A blurred street view through a rain-streaked window.

Most of the images in this project were taken through some kind of glass. A bus window, a café door, a wet phone camera, a rain-flattened streetlamp.

Rain behaves like a slow neutral-density filter, and windows behave like imperfect framing. The pictures lean on that softness. They are not trying to correct for it. They are trying to keep the feeling of being somewhere half-inside and half-out.
